@CarfectionMotorPunk chases a 90 year old Morgan record Darryl Sleath Motorsport for the Poor, Roadtripping, Video 3 Comments Quarter mile of bracing British seafront, a supe’d up Mog Three Wheeler and a 90 year old drag racing record are the essential ingredients of our most recent Carfection video which we filmed last September at the famous Brighton Speed Trials. This is the story of the UK’s difficult birth into the world of motorsport and some of the characters that helped kick it all off at the dawn of the petrol-age. In the mêlée of Britain’s exit from Europe (politically and footballingly) national pride is somewhat bruised at the mo. All I hope is that this patriotic tale of a plucky little Morgan, one talentless racing driver and Blighty’s ascent to motorsport greatness helps cheer up some loyal English MotorPunk’s, even if it’s just for ten minutes. Put the kettle on and enjoy. 3 Responses Frank July 4, 2016 Great vid Daryl, but surely 16secs was easy for an Aero Racing M3W on a dry track? Didn’t want to rev did it? Are they all like that? FH Reply sean September 21, 2021 So it’s only the English motorpunk’s you care about cheering up?… Either it’s UK/British or England/English – and you do know why British national racing colour is green, don’t you?… Reply Rich Duisberg December 22, 2021 Hi Sean – Yes, we know about British Racing Green…. we spent some time in Ireland to tell the story, see here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp0ZPOFdWc8&ab_channel=Carfection Reply Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
