Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of Morgan’s big trad’ built Roadster for a few days. Some loyal ‘punkers might remember that we roadtested the original Geneva Motorshow prototype/test mule some years ago for our epic Three Peaks Challenge, but five years on this big 3.7-litre lovely is a lot more polished. The Mustang-sourced lump and ‘leccy gubbins now all talk the same language, it was watertight, beautifully finished and you didn”t even have to dislocate your knees anymore to dip the clutch, thanks to a narrower transmission tunnel.

Even in the damp drizzly streets of the Big Smoke it was turning heads; I wasn’t sure about that colour combo when I first picked it up from the sheds in Malvern, but at night, under streetlamps and shopfront neon, it seemed to pop.

Anyhow, in this video I wanted to tell a little story about big multi-cylindered sports cars, and why we should be proud to own them and not feel too guilty about it. It’s already been seen by a few million petrolheads via Motors TV in the UK and across Europe, but thought it was high time we shared it on here too. Hope you like it.
