There are a few other folks online, like us, partial to a proper roadtrip. The Adventurists are fellow motoring mentalists, flying across America by paramotor, dicking about on rickshaws and driving knackered Russian motorbikes on frozen lakes in Siberia. You may best know them for their now famous “Mongol Rally”, a one-way roadtrip across some pretty extreme terrain in largely inappropriate motors. This is the King of the banger rallies. They kindly shared these pictures of this year’s trip, taken at the Aral sea and the Pamir highway, and other parts of the map where google dare not venture. Yes, that’s a Rover 800 limo, in somewhere ending in –stan, and Eddie’s ice cream van on the Mongolian steppe. They’ve raised an incredible £5 million for charity and say… We must save every rainforest in the world so future generations have somewhere to get stuck. Not because we’re tree hugging sandal weavers, but because the world would be sh!t without them. We thank the Adventurists for these inspirational pictures. Track them down online here and read the stories behind the pictures or, better still, sign up and create a few of your own. Now, where did I leave my pith hat and Metro?
