‘One life, live it’. Apart from the chav’s strapline of choice (‘Dude, I almost had you’) that phrase is perhaps the most annoying thing to ever be stickered onto a vehicle.

No such nonsense here though, this Land Rover is perhaps the perfect work horse, towing a car on a trailer to join our recent sprint event. The more you look at it, the better it gets. The short wheelbase and tall roofrack accentuates the oversquare shape, the beige paint, faded Union Jack on the wings, the camel trophy sign. We love it. The interior is the very best of bad BL bits. Wonky black plastic everywhere managing to look robust and brittle all at once. In the back, a little gas stove with a kettle. I would have begged a cuppa in the cold at Curborough but the owner was out scaring himself silly in his Mini. ‘One life, live it’? My arse. The only daft sticker this Landie needs is a MotorPunk one.
